Exploring RED Exhibition

I am happy to have these two paintings included in a group theme invitational exhibit at Horne Fine Art from February 3 – March 14, 2015. Pet Portrait Commissions for Wasatch Advisors

Recently, I was commissioned to paint some pet portraits and wanted to share them with you. I really enjoyed painting these beloved cats and dogs and I would love to do more! Spring Art Convergence

This past spring was an abundant time for me with the convergence of three group exhibits: UMOCA (Utah Museum of Contemporary Art) Annual Exhibition & Gala event, Art Access “300 Plates” Fundraiser & Exhibition, along with a major showing at the Loge Gallery called “Visions of Nature” on display during the month of May.

Art & Soup Event

Since food and art are two of my favorite things I was pleased to be one of the 40 artists invited to participate in the annual “Art & Soup” event. There were 24 restaurants who had delicious soups and desserts for tasting while viewing wonderful art. It is a worthy cause and a lively event where I enjoyed sharing my art, meeting new friends and garnering new art collectors.

Finished and Unveiled!

I can finally catch my breath and rejoice in the successful completion of the Millcreek Community Center mural. It was unveiled to the public mid-August to much positive acclaim and I wanted to share the finished piece with you. These past few months painting the wall were amazing and all-consuming. I thoroughly enjoyed every hour of every day spent on this project.

At the Color Stage

Last week I began painting color on the mural and wanted to share the progress with you. I started with the muted green color and painted all of those shapes in the design. Since the majority of the wall is still white I found it helpful to then paint all of the black shapes so I could see the darkest color as well. It is exciting to see it coming together!

A mural at the Millcreek Senior Center in the Millcreek Community Center on Evergreen Avenue. I just finished painting the lines of the design and am thoroughly enjoying the process. The next step is painting in all of the colors.
