Animal, Vegetable, and Mineral.

I hope you have had a lovely Summer…and remember it’s not officially over until September 23rd! Aside from the paintings I am working on and some pleasurable design projects, I wanted to share some of the diverse elements of my creative life recently.

VEGETABLE

I’m honored that Art Access asked to use my “Harvest” art for the cover of their “Art2go” event invitation this year. It is their 3rd Annual Fall Invitational, where you can buy art and take it with you on the spot rather than waiting until the end of the exhibition. I’m happy to have art available at the gallery. The invitation-only preview party will be tomorrow, Thursday, September 17th, then it’s open for everyone on Friday’s gallery stroll the next night and will continue through October 9.

MINERAL

Did you know I make jewelry from ethnic beads, colorful gemstones and Tibetan pendants? Many years ago my hobby turned into a side business. The necklaces, bracelets and earrings I make are available at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts Store at the University of Utah.

Tuesday Tea Time

My shop is now open on Etsy with a selection of sixteen limited edition signed prints. Included currently are food related illustrations and lots of tea cup prints—or coffee, if you prefer. The photo above shows how great they would look in a simple frame. And more of my work is coming to the shop soon!

Opening Soon!

Ever wanted to purchase a print of my art or illustration? In a few days you will be able to! I have been busily working behind the scenes preparing the images and information to open my shop on Etsy (a retail site for artists and craftspeople). For starters, my shop will offer beautiful limited edition prints that are numbered and signed by me. They are printed with archival inks on luxurious 100% cotton fine art paper. In the future I might also add small original paintings and other creations to my shop. This week there will certainly be lots of food oriented art prints for your kitchen or dining area. So get ready to shop! I’ll supply the print. You provide the frame. And voila! Your spirits and your room get a colorful lift!

Artist Signed Prints for Backers

This is the 5 x 7 inch signed print.

Just starting week two of the funding campaign for “Our Boy Bob” and I wanted to share these incentives with you. These are the images for the limited edition signed fine art prints from illustrations in “Our Boy Bob” for backers who have selected these incentives on Kickstarter.

This is the 13 x 19 inch signed print.

Keep spreading the word about “Our Boy Bob”. And thank you so much for all of your support!

Art at the YWCA

This week our local YWCA celebrated the completion of a new building, the “McCarthy Residence” as part of their “Campus of Caring”, to house women and children seeking refuge from domestic violence. I am happy that two pieces of my art were selected for their wonderful new space. Special thanks to Lyndsie and Lisa of Alpine Art for facilitating this purchase. The images above, “Twilight” and “Dreamer”, are 18″ x 24″ archival giclée prints of my original gouache paintings. Please feel free to contact me if you would like one of these prints. I have limited the edition to ten prints, each hand signed by me. I hope the images of my art contribute a peaceful and congenial atmosphere to the residents there.
